Local and International participation in Jengka International Muay Thai Fight 2024

JENGKA, Oct 25 -A total of 18 boxers including from abroad such as Thailand, Ukraine and Afghanistan are fighting for the title in the Jengka International Muay Thai Championship 2024 at Tun Razak Stadium in Bandar Pusat Jengka in Maran, tomorrow.

The tournament, organized by Triple 9 Event Management Resources, will be the first time being held there.

Its manager, Mohamad Hafizal Mahmood, said that national boxer, Ali Yaacob, Hakim Red Army and Izat Zaki Ayma Pallas also will be participating in the fight.

He said, the main event that will be the focus of the tournament is the match between Red Army Judge's and Afghan boxer, Navidullah Sampuri.

According to him, the tournament in Jengka is the biggest and final of the year.

He said at a press conference at the Jengka stadium grounds, today.

According to him, the tournament is also a field for unearthing new talents in the challenging sport involved which is now increasingly in the spotlight due to the popularity of the country's Muay Thai champion and One Championship star, 18 year old Muhamad Johan Ghazali Zulfikar, or popularly known as Jojo.

Meanwhile, for the youngest boxer, Mohd Fahmi Irfan Mohd Fadli, 18, who represents Kelab Burung Antu Muaythai Gym 999 Temerloh, said age is not a barrier to grab the championship belt.

Fahmi represented Terengganu in the recent Malaysian Games (Sukma) in Sarawak wants to use his existing experience as best as possible.

He is schedule to face Mohd Haiqal Mat Nor, 22, from Black Tiger Muaythai Gym Kelantan.

A total of nine local and foreign Muay Thai clubs will be competing in the tournament, which also offers a main lucky draw cash prize of RM30,000 for visitors.
