PUTRAJAYA, March 19 - The 2025 Aidilfitri Festival Maximum Price Scheme (SHMMP) involving 26 items will be effective from March 24 to April 7.

Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Minister Datuk Armizan Mohd Ali said the 15-day SHMMP had added four other essential items, namely Indian shallots, Indian rose shallots, carrots and coconut milk.

"We also need to include coconut milk in the 2025 Aidilfitri SHMMP in preparation for Syawal even though the supply is quite stable.

"Whether we like it or not, we have negotiated to include coconut milk in the list. Thank God, the relevant parties have finally agreed on the matter so that coconut milk is included in the scheme in addition to coconut kernels and grated coconut," he said.

He said this to reporters at a press conference announcing the Aidilfitri 2025 Festival Season Maximum Price Scheme (SHMMP) here.

Previously, the maximum retail price for coconut milk was RM22 per kilogram, and for the next 15 days it will be controlled at RM17.50 per kilogram in the Peninsular, Labuan (RM15), Sabah (RM12) and Sarawak (RM9).

Among the 26 other items included under this scheme are local beef, tomatoes, red chillies, imported round cabbage, long beans, cucumbers, mustard green, imported old ginger, imported red onions, yellow onions, Chinese garlic, Indian red onions, imported potatoes, curly dried chillies, peanuts, coconut kernels and grated coconut.
