KUCHING, April 19 - Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim praised the role played by Sarawak in driving the country's economic growth, especially in the fields of education, energy and gas development.

According to him, political stability in Sarawak makes it one of the states that is able to develop various projects using its own funds.

"The only state that provides allocations from state funds to develop infrastructure compared to other states. This is Sarawak, I salute you", he said at the Aidilfitri Madani 2025 Celebration Ceremony at the Perpaduan Stadium, Petrajaya here.

Meanwhile, Anwar also informed that all approved primary and secondary school renovation and reconstruction projects in Sarawak must be expedited.

He explained that school development is an urgent need and the people want its implementation to be expedited in Sarikei, Mukah, Daro, Sri Aman and Saratok.

"I ask that all these projects not be delayed. They must be implemented as soon as possible because the people want these projects to be expedited," he said.
