SHAH ALAM, November 30- The price of entry tickets to the Kanching Forest Eco Park and the Chongkak Forest Eco Park will be increased from December 2.

Tourism Selangor Sdn Bhd, in a statement, said the increase was aimed at accommodating efforts to upgrade infrastructure and improve safety aspects in both tourism areas.

"Starting with a price as low as RM 2.00 for local visitors and RM 8.00 for international visitors at Chongkak Rimba Eco Park and Kanching Rimba Eco Park from 2022, now an increase of RM 2.00 will be applied, however children aged 12 and under will remain free as implemented before", said Tourism Selangor.

Through the new restructuring, the ticket price for weekdays will be charged RM4.00 for local visitors and RM10.00 for international visitors.

Meanwhile, on weekends and public holidays, the ticket rate is RM5.00 for local visitors and RM12.00 for international visitors.

The statement also read that Tourism Selangor Sdn Bhd remains committed to repairing and conserving eco-tourism areas in the state for the comfort of local and international visitors, especially in the run-up to the Year of Visiting Selangor 2025.

Earlier, the two tourist areas in question received a high number of tourist visits which were 89,164 visitors at the Chongkak Rimba Eco Park and 55,852 visitors at the Kanching Rimba Eco Park during January to October this year.
