ALOR SETAR, December 14 - Pertubuhan Ikatan Usahawan Kecil dan Sederhana Malaysia (IKHLAS) is ready to help small and medium entrepreneurs in flood-affected states.
IKHLAS chairman Datuk Mohd Ridzuan Abdullah said that his side is ready to provide advisory services and facilitate in making sure that affected entrepreneurs receive appropriate assistance.
He said that in addition to entrepreneurs, his organisation also carries out the responsibility of helping flood-affected residents in Kedah.
"Our machinery also proactively helps in cleaning schools, homes and so on. We have previously done it in the states of Pahang and Terengganu. So, I hope there are non-governmental organisations (NGOs) which want to help the Anak Bukit area as this area really needs help. I hope that NGOs can help," said Ridzuan.
He spoke to reporters after handing over donations through the IKHLAS Post-Flood Relief Mission.
The current focus is on the Anak Bukit area as it is the worst affected due to its location within the Anak Bukit river basin.
