KUALA LUMPUR, March 18– The World #QuranHour 2025 campaign continues to receive an extraordinary response with the participation from more than 73 countries which involve 313 locations around the world.
Entering its first decade, the programme carries the theme #SavingTheUmmah, in line with efforts to introduce the message of the Quran to the global community.
According to the Board of Trustees of the Warisan Ummah Ikhlas Foundation (WUIF), Ahmad Yani Abd Manaf, Surah As-Saff was chosen as the main surah for this programme to invite Muslims to unite in their religious struggle and form a strong and firm line of defence.
“This surah is very apt for us to follow because we see various issues among Muslims today. We are often more likely to see differences rather than similarities, even though our similarities are very great and numerous.
"Therefore, we call on Muslims to become a strong and firm force, to restore the religion of Allah as well as to become agents of change in society because we are mentioned in the Quran as the best of people," he said when met after appearing on the Selamat Pagi Malaysia programme at Angkasapuri Kota Media today.
The #QuranHour program is scheduled to take place at the Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Mosque, International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), Gombak on March 25th.
