LONDON, January 17- Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim paid a courtesy call on the Speaker of the House of Commons, Lindsay Hoyle at Speaker House, Westminster, as part of his visit to the United Kingdom.
The PM and his delegation were greeted on arrival by Deputy Speaker, Caroline Nokes.
During the meeting, Anwar and Hoyle discussed issues related to bilateral relations between Malaysia and the UK.
He also visited Battersea Power Station, which is Malaysia's largest investment in the UK.
Anwar was received upon arrival by Tan Sri Shahril Ridza Ridzuan, chairman of Battersea Project Holding Company Ltd, and Permodalan Nasional Bhd (PNB) president and group chief executive Datuk Abdul Rahman Ahmad.
Battersea Power Station is home to more than 150 shops, cafes, restaurants and other businesses, as well as over 3,000 residents.
Anwar also shared the visit via his official Facebook page.
"During a working visit to London, UK, my delegation and I had the opportunity to stop by Battersea Power Station which is owned by a consortium of Malaysian companies consisting of PNB, Sime Darby Property, SP Setia Bhd and the Employees Provident Fund (EPF)," he wrote.
"The availability of all infrastructure here is capable of attracting and expanding the investment returns of this Government-Linked Investment Company (GLIC) to higher levels in the future," explained the Prime Minister.
