GEORGE TOWN, April 26- The Penang government is open to a proposal to ban the sale of electronic cigarettes and vaping at business premises throughout the state.
Chief Minister, Chow Kon Yeow said that official discussions on the matter have not been held and his party will await the presentation of the issue by the state Youth, Sports and Health Committee Chairman, Daniel Gooi Zi Sen at the next Exco Meeting.
"We haven't discussed vaping yet, we are waiting for the exco to bring the exco members to discuss this matter for the next direction," he said.
He said this after officiating the Toastmasters District 51 Annual Conference at a hotel in George Town this morning.
Earlier, Terengganu was reported to be the first state to enforce a ban on the sale of e-cigarettes and vaping at business premises starting August 1st.
