KAJANG, April 11- Two flash floods were reported to have occurred simultaneously early this morning involving areas in Taman Sri Jaya Klang and Kampung Sungai Merab Luar, Kajang.
A total of 23 victims were successfully rescued in operations by the Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM).
According to a statement by JBPM, the floods in Klang involved 10 houses consisting of eight victims who were evacuated by members of the Kapar Fire and Rescue Department with the assistance of the Sri Andalas Fire and Rescue Department.
Meanwhile, in Kajang, four-foot-high floods involved 12 houses with 15 victims who were successfully rescued by the Dengkil Fire and Rescue Department.
Both operations went smoothly with the monitoring of the operation commander.
It was also reported that the water level was receding.
