Penang's 2025 Kita MADANI Carnival receives enthusiastic response

PERMATANG PAUH, April 26- The Penang State-Level Kita MADANI Carnival 2025 which took place at the Open Hall of the Seberang Perai Tengah District Education Office has recorded an encouraging response with the attendance of more than 3,000 visitors.

Penang Information Department (JAPEN) Director, Hasmiza Hussein, said the carnival aims to ensure that government information and policies can be delivered directly to the people, while also providing space for the public to better understand government initiatives.

"Kita MADANI is based on the concept of 'Leaders Together with the People'. The purpose is to strengthen relations and bring government aspirations and initiatives to one place, so that the people can receive the latest, accurate and authentic information. That is our intention, to gather agencies in one place to facilitate local residents," said Hasmiza.

The carnival provided 47 stalls involving government and private agencies, providing visitors with the opportunities to obtain information on various programmes and services provided.

Penang Deputy Chief Minister 1, Datuk Dr. Mohamad Abdul Hamid, also attended and commended on the success of the program which has been implemented since last year at various state, parliamentary and DUN levels.

“Programmes like this have been implemented in various areas to reach out to the people, explain policies and guidelines, as well as implementation by federal, state and private government agencies,” explained Datuk Dr. Mohamad Abdul Hamid.

In addition to information exhibitions, the carnival also offers various entertainment and informative activities that visitors can also participate in. Activities such as fun runs, coloring competitions, and exhibitions by government and private agencies make this carnival the best platform to strengthen family ties.

Akram Amirudin, a visitor, shared his experience, “Today I participated in the 'fun run', the children had coloring activities. They also gained a lot of benefits from the booths here. I am very happy to be able to bring my family here.”

Another visitor, Nor Ashkin Abu Bakar, said, “I brought my children to color. There were lots of activities, fun, and they got a lot of experience. I always bring my children to events like this.”

Various interesting activities were also provided, including sports activities, exhibitions by government and private agencies, coloring competitions, and the Mega MADANI Cheap Sale which benefits visitors.
