PUTRAJAYA, 3 March- Government decisions must be communicated clearly to all, especially civil servants.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said this is important to prevent anxiety among civil servants and the public as a whole.

"For example, the government will discuss the Public Administration Efficiency Commitment Bill this week, which all civil servants need to study," he said.

"I have asked the KSN (Chief Secretary to the Government) to convey this Bill, and I believe it has already been communicated to civil servants. However, if it could be further publicized, because one of the points I raised last week in the Cabinet meeting was that sometimes these decisions don't trickle down," Anwar said.

"So underneath there is anxiety, our decisions in the Cabinet should be communicated and all actions should be communicated not only in post-Cabinet meetings but those chaired by Ministers, KSU (Secretary-General), Heads of Departments, and should not be limited to their departmental matters only," he added.

Anwar said this while speaking at the Prime Minister's monthly gathering with staff of the Prime Minister's Department here, today.

He emphasized this matter because the commitment to public service efficiency must be understood by all civil servants.

He said it was related to the assessment of tasks, work processes, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for each civil servant.
