KUALA LUMPUR, March 1- The achievement of a strong and competitive dividend by the Employees' Provident Fund (EPF) proves its resilience and commitment in ensuring the future of members' retirement is secured.
Finance Minister II, Datuk Seri Amir Hamzah Azizan, through a post on his social media page, said that the EPF has once again succeeded in exceeding expectations, despite the uncertainty of the global economy.
He was also proud of the performance of Simpanan Shariah which managed to record a performance comparable to Simpanan Conventional following the implementation of the separation of the two funds in January 2024.
"The increase in voluntary contributions also clearly shows that more and more people choose to have a sufficient amount of savings when they retire."
"The three achievements, namely dividend performance, Simpanan Shariah performance surge and a significant increase in voluntary contributions, are important signs that the national economy is getting stronger," he said.
The minister said, the outstanding dividend performance of the EPF not only benefits members' retirement savings, but also the country's economy as a whole.
