KUALA LUMPUR, January 24- Good relations between Malaysia and China and other ASEAN countries need to be maintained for the common good.

Speaker of the Dewan Rakyat, Tan Sri Johari Abdul said that each country has its own advantages to be shared for national development.

"With our good relations, Malaysia especially with China, we will benefit when China not only has technology but also expertise in certain fields that we can take as a means to develop the ASEAN region.

"I am confident in the good relations between China, Malaysia and ASEAN countries. We will become closer, safer in the ASEAN as well as the Asian region, God willing," he said.

He said this when met by the media after attending the 2025 Chinese New Year Celebration organised by the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Kuala Lumpur.
