KUANTAN, January 24 - The Pahang State Government has allocated RM600,000 for the organization of the Program Jualan Makmur, which began on Monday and will run until this Sunday, in conjunction with the Chinese New Year 2025 celebrations.
According to the Pahang State Executive Councillor for Consumer Affairs and Human Resources, Sim Chon Siang, this initiative aims to assist the people of the state, especially the B40 group, in preparing for the festivities.
He said that through the Program Jualan Makmur, the public will have the opportunity to enjoy discounts of up to 30% on 23 selected items at 11 major supermarkets in Pahang.
He emphasised the importance of item selection, and while the subsidies are sufficient, sweet items are excluded to promote better health.
Additionally, the program runs concurrently with the monthly Rahmah MADANI Sales organized by the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living to enhance affordable sales options for the state's residents.
The funding for this sales initiative was outlined by the Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail, in the Pahang State Budget 2025, which allocated a total of RM2.52 million for the Program Jualan Makmur Cluster at the state level.
