SEGAMAT, Nov 2- Six individuals, including a woman, were arrested yesterday, believed to be involved in the murder of a man in Taman Sejati, Batu Anam, Segamat, Johor, yesterday.
Segamat District Police Chief, Superintendent Ahmad Zamry Marinsah said, two men and a woman, aged from their teens to 40s were arrested for being involved in the incident while three other men were arrested for treason and rioting.
As a result of the investigation, it was found that the incident was believed to be caused by a disagreement between the suspect and the deceased who was said to have made noise in front of his house.
The 30-year-old victim was stabbed and slashed with a machete by the suspect.
The victim's friend who tried to break up the fight also suffered injuries and was treated as an outpatient.
In the same incident, the car belonging to the suspect's family was also damaged by the victim's friend, as a result of being dissatisfied with the suspect's actions that caused their friend to be killed.
A record check found that the main suspect has seven criminal records.
The case is investigated according to Section 148/302 of the Penal Code.
