KUCHING, Nov 2- Deputy Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid Hamidi today arrived in Kuching on his official working visit in conjunction with the People's Leader Program in Betong.
Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi arrived at the Royal Malaysian Air Force Base at 10:30 this morning using a special plane from the capital to be greeted by Deputy Minister of Rural and Regional Development Datuk Rubiah Wang and Deputy Minister of Utilities and Telecommunications Datuk Dr Abdul Rahman Junaidi.
The Deputy Prime Minister and his entourage then left for Betong for his two-day working visit in Sarawak.
The Minister of Rural and Regional Development is expected to attend the Majlis Pemimpin Bersama Rakyat organized by the Ministry of Rural and Regional Development (KKDW) at Rumah Panjang Enteri anak Lengkoi Samuel Ulu Paku in Spaoh Betong today.
He is also expected to hold a Briefing Session on the Implementation of the KKDW's Development Project in Kuching tomorrow before leaving for the Kuala Lumpur, at noon tomorrow.
