KOTA KINABALU, Nov 7- The Sabah Football Association (SAFA) confirmed that it had never negotiated with any party that claimed to have received an offer to sell Sabah FC shares.
Its President, Datuk Shahelmey Yahya said SAFA has never met an individual or any representative on behalf of the party who claimed to have received an offer to sell Sabah FC shares.
He said this includes informing the Chief Minister of Sabah, Datuk Seri Panglima Hajiji Noor regarding the sale of Sabah FC shares.
"This statement is issued to clarify SAFA and Sabah FC's stance to avoid any confusion or misunderstanding regarding the allegations.
"Once again, I emphasize here, SAFA has never met an individual or any representative on behalf of the party who claims to have received an offer to sell Sabah FC shares," he said in a statement, here, today (Nov 7).
Shahelmey was commenting on a statement on DSAT Facebook post claiming to have been 'offered' to take over Sabah FC.
In the post, DSAT even thanked Shahelmey, who is also Sabah Deputy Chief Minister III, after agreeing to make the offer and indicating that it had been communicated to the Sabah Chief Minister.
