RMC adds CCTV, tightens discipline to stop bullying incidents

Adly Zahari

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 24- The Defence Ministry announced six improvements to combat bullying at the Royal Military College (RMC), including prohibiting disciplinary violations, regular meetings between students, administrators and instructors, and the addition of closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras at hostels.

Deputy Minister, Adly Zahari, said the move aims to ensure the safety and well-being of students, in addition to enforcing stern action against bullies.

"I always repeat in this August house, bullying does not only involve stern action from us. Bullies must also accept the fact that they will also face the law of the land," he said.

He stressed the ministry will not compromise in defending victims of bullying.

Adly said this when replying to Muar Member of Parliament, Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman, in the Dewan Rakyat today.
