BAGAN DATUK, August 19 - A total of 46.2 million ringgit has been allocated by the Ministry of Rural and Regional Development (KKDW) for the People Housing Project Development in Bagan Datuk, Perak.
The project, undertaken by FELCRA Berhad through its subsidiary FELCRA Sdn Bhd., will be developed on 19.74 acres of government land.
The project includes the construction of 150 semi-detached units under Program Perumahan Rakyat Sejahtera (PPRS) with an area of ​​660 square feet.
The groundbreaking ceremony was officiated by the Deputy Prime Minister, who is also Minister of Rural and Regional Development, Datuk Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, this morning.
“We are very grateful to the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim who, as the Finance Minister, has given an allocation for KKDW to build this housing project.
"I hope we will accept this as a blessing from Allah through the Ministry of Finance and KKDW, and we will seize this opportunity to develop our area, Insya-Allah," he told reporters after officiating the groundbreaking ceremony for the area development project of Rancangan Perkampungan Tersusun Simpang Tiga, here today.
Datuk Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid, who is also a Member of Parliament for Bagan Datuk, said the project will also provide basic facilities such as an open hall, surau, kindergarten, and playground.
He added that the project is expected to be completed by August next year and will benefit 750 residents of Rungkup, Bagan Datuk.
