SEREMBAN, August 29 - The Negeri Sembilan government is committed to helping students under the underprivileged category not to drop out of school.

According to the Negeri Sembilan's Menteri Besar, Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun, the state government is confident that this effort will bring forth enthusiasm to the concerned group to gain knowledge without having to worry about tuition fees and living costs.

“I am requesting for a list of Negeri Sembilan children in need of assistance, to be handed to me. We will offer assistance through the Islamic Religious Council via the Yayasan Negeri Sembilan so that these children do not drop out of university,” he said.

He made these remarks to RTM at the Gala Night in conjunction with UiTM's 25th anniversary as a university in Seremban.

UiTM celebrated the anniversary simultaneously across the country last night after the establishment of the entity as an educational organisation in 1956.

UiTM has produced many high-quality graduates to meet the needs of various industries domestically and internationally.
