SEREMBAN, April 29 – Negeri Sembilan successfully recorded a total investment of RM7.25 billion last year, involving 208 approved projects covering the manufacturing, services and other key sectors from various ministries.
Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar, Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun said that of the total, RM3.4 billion or 46.9 percent was foreign investment, most of which involved high-tech projects.
“Among the high-tech foreign investment projects that contributed to the amount included the Safran Landing Systems expansion project from France worth RM650 million; the new F&N project from Singapore worth RM1.8 billion; Bartu Antmed Malaysia from China (RM700 million); Mynafco Malaysia from Taiwan (RM300 million); and the Shin Heung Sec expansion project from South Korea (RM100 million),” he said.
He said this when answering a question from Rantau assemblyman, Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan (BN-Rantau), who was represented by Jeram Padang assemblyman, Datuk Mohd Zaidy Abdul Kadir (BN-Jeram Padang), in the State Legislative Assembly sitting today.
Aminuddin added that from 2019 to December 2024, the total amount of foreign investments approved in Negeri Sembilan reached RM24.1 billion, covering various economic sectors.
Meanwhile, based on the project approval record by Invest NS for the period from January to February 2025, a total of six projects have been approved, with total investments estimated to be worth RM1.505 billion.
Of the total, four projects are foreign investments, namely from On Semiconductor (United States), T. Hasegawa Flavour and Medijoy from Japan, and In Win Asia from Taiwan.
According to records from the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA), investments throughout 2024 also successfully created 4,684 new job opportunities in Negeri Sembilan.
