KUALA LUMPUR, 27 November- The Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI) will expand the installation of direct current (DC) fast charger for electric vehicle (EV) use to all districts nationwide after a pilot project conducted with Selangor and Johor is completed.
MITI Deputy Minister, Liew Chin Tong said for districts that do not yet have charging points, efforts are being made with the Selangor and Johor state governments to ensure that each district is equipped with DC fast charging.
"After the pilot project in Selangor and Johor, we will expand it nationwide to ensure every district has DC fast charging," he said when replying to a supplementary question from Kubang Pasu Member of Parliament, Datuk Dr Ku Abdul Rahman Ku Ismail, in the Dewan Rakyat today.
As of 31 October, a total of 3,354 charging stations have been installed nationwide.
