PUTRAJAYA, 3 January – Malaysia remains steadfast in upholding foreign policy principles that prioritize an open economy, peace, and neutrality, while firmly rejecting injustice, aggression, and violations of sovereignty.

This commitment was reaffirmed by Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan in his address during the Monthly Meeting with Wisma Putra staff.

He urged the ministry’s personnel to continue embodying these values, representing the country with dignity and integrity. This, he stressed, is key to enhancing Malaysia's image and reputation on the global stage.

Additionally, he called on the Wisma Putra staff to stay proactive and attuned to global developments, including technological advancements, to ensure Malaysia remains relevant in addressing modern challenges and meeting societal expectations.

On Malaysia’s role as ASEAN Chairman, Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan emphasized that fulfilling this responsibility requires diligence and strong commitment from all involved.
