LABUAN, April 26 – The 27th edition of the Labuan International Sports Challenge (LISC) 2025 is in full swing at the vibrant grounds of the Labuan International Sports Complex.
This annual sporting event showcases a wide range of major competitions including the Mini Marathon, Kayak race, Coastal Fishing tournament, Beach Volleyball matches, Tug of War (Pull Rope), and various traditional games under the People’s Sports category.
One of the main highlights, the coastal fishing competition, successfully drew close to 300 participants, all competing for a combined cash prize pool of RM13,700.
Meanwhile, the seven-kilometer Mini Marathon offered a prize fund of RM14,200 and was enthusiastically participated in by athletes and running enthusiasts from various regions, including Brunei Darussalam, Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, Penang, Terengganu, Sabah, and Labuan.
All competitions throughout the event come with their own set of cash prizes, awarded to winners across different categories.
Apart from strong local participation, LISC 2025 also welcomed a significant number of international participants, with representatives hailing from Brunei Darussalam, Hong Kong, the Philippines, Singapore, Indonesia, Brazil, and the United States.
The grand closing ceremony of the Labuan International Sports Challenge 2025 is scheduled to take place tomorrow at the Labuan International Sports Complex.
