KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 13- Almost RM10 million will be channeled to the Malaysian Youth Council (MBM) through the Ministry of Youth and Sports (KBS) throughout 2024.
Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Adam Adli Abd Halim said it aims to strengthen the role of youth including expanding the youth leadership empowerment programme.
"We know that during these two years there will be a transitional process of youth rights, we want more youth groups under the age of 30 to be able to fill leadership positions in youth organisations.
"We are multiplying and expanding the types of programmes that can be implemented, apart from establishing strategic cooperation through Rakan Muda.
"So it is hoped that the set target of a 95 percent increase can be achieved, if it cannot be fully met as desired by the government and also the Malaysian Youth Council, at least we make sure that the efforts continue and not be stopped just because the KPI has not been met as we wish," he said.
He was replying a question raised by Mersing's Member of Parliament, Muhammad Islahuddin Abas in Dewan Rakyat today.
