KUCHING, Feb 12- The Sarawak government needs significant and strategic ideas from state civil servants to strengthen the various successes currently enjoyed by the state.

Premier, Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg said that it is important to enable Sarawak to achieve all the visions and dreams that have been planned toward 2030.

He cited as an example among Sarawak's successes includes the acquisition of Bintulu Port as well as several matters under negotiation under the 1963 Malaysia Agreement such as environmental management jurisdiction.

Therefore, the wisdom of civil service employees is now needed in managing Bintulu Port as well as the autonomy that has been granted to the Sarawak government.

Meanwhile, the Premier also wants Sarawak civil service employees to prepare themselves to face any unexpected challenges or problems by providing a quick response and continuously trying to overcome all problems encountered.

Abang Johari said this at the Sarawak Premier's Department Chinese New Year Celebration Ceremony in Kuching.
