MELAKA, Oct 26- The Melaka Islamic Religious Department (JAIM) is tracking the founder of Tabib Adam Therapy Center, known as "Adam Isa", to assist in the investigation related to the operation of the center.

State Education, Higher Education, and Religious Affairs Committee chairman Datuk Rahmad Mariman stated that it was after JAIM received a report that the medical center involved was still operating even though the banning fatwa had been gazetted.

"Adam Isa failed to be detected in an operation carried out at the therapy center on October 24," he said.

"Inspections have been carried out at treatment centers, places where medicine is sold, residential houses in addition to courtyards and buildings."

According to him, efforts to contact Adam and his wife via telephone also failed because they were not answered.

However, during the inspection, JAIM detained two female individuals who are also employees aged 38 and 44 to assist the investigation because they are suspected of doing medical activities with Tabib Adam after the fatwa was published.

An offense under Section 63 of the Syariah Offences Enactment (State of Melaka) 1991 for allegedly insulting Islam by disobeying or violating the fatwa that has been gazetted.

In addition, case items such as signs at the gates, receipt books, medicines, and brochures related to health products were seized and confiscated.

The public who have information related to the founder of Pusat Tabib Adam Therapy are urged contact JAIM at 017-2661280.
