TUMPAT, December 1- Kelantan police have yet to receive a report on the number of vehicles swept away by the flood after the main road connecting Tumpat - Pengkalan Kubor in Taman Seri Bayu, Jubakar Pantai was cut off.
Kelantan Police Chief, Datuk Mohd Yusoff Mamat said that so far no party has come to the police station to file a report.
He said that car owners are likely to be living in a temporary relief center (PPS) and still do not know what had transpired.
He said that the location was where flood-affected residents parked their vehicles because of the higher ground.
However, he said, due to strong currents from extraordinary floods had caused the roads to sink down before being cut off.
"So now we can no longer get a report of the actual number of vehicles since the persons involved are no longer there. The owners may still be staying at the PPS," said Mohd Yusoff.
He said this after inspecting the location of the incident where the road was cut off, the point which connects Tumpat to Pengkalan Kubor in Taman Seri Bayu, Jubakar Pantai, here.
He said that people who want to go to Pengkalan Kubor after this will have to use an alternate route.
Mohd Yusoff also advised the public to obey orders from the authorities, especially in areas marked with yellow lines because those areas are dangerous.
In addition, he hoped that the public affected by the flood would obey the authorities' directive if they were ordered to move to a PPS.
