PETALING JAYA, Nov 18– The Malaysian Meteorological Department (METMalaysia) has issued a warning of continuous heavy rain (severe level) expected to persist in Pahang and Johor until Saturday (November 23).

According to METMalaysia, the affected areas in Pahang include Kuantan, Pekan, and Rompin, while in Johor, the rain is forecasted to impact Segamat, Kluang, Mersing, and Kota Tinggi.

Meanwhile, continuous rain at an alert level is expected in Kelantan, Terengganu, and parts of Pahang until Saturday.

“The affected areas include Kelantan (Tumpat, Pasir Mas, Kota Bharu, Tanah Merah, Bachok, Machang, and Pasir Puteh), Terengganu, and Pahang (Jerantut, Temerloh, Maran, and Bera) until Saturday, November 23, 2024,” the statement read.

Additionally, METMalaysia has forecasted continuous rain for Negeri Sembilan, Melaka, and parts of Johor until tomorrow.

“In Negeri Sembilan, the affected areas are Kuala Pilah, Jempol, and Tampin; in Melaka, the entire state; and in Johor, Tangkak, Muar, Batu Pahat, Pontian, Kulai, and Johor Bahru,”the statement read.
