Bank Muamalat offers special flood aid

KUALA LUMPUR, August 13 - Bank Muamalat Malaysia Berhad (Bank Muamalat) today announced the offer of special flood assistance to its customers who were affected by the severe flooding that hit several areas in the country.

It includes moratorium assistance for all individual and business financing for up to six months, replacement of debit and credit cards without any fees and the exemption of RM1 withdrawal transaction charges through automatic teller machines (ATMs).

The President and Chief Executive Officer of Bank Muamalat, Khairul Kamarudin said, he is concerned about the difficulties faced by customers, including individuals and businesses.

He hoped that the special flood aid would provide relief to those involved.

"As an Islamic financial institution that is always committed to creating a 'Better Life, Together' for its customers, we are responsible for playing an important role in supporting and helping the community through these tough times.

"Customers who are facing financial difficulties following this disaster can apply for special assistance by downloading the "Service Request Form" (SRF) available on Bank Muamalat's website at www.muamalat.com.my and sending relevant supporting documents via Alamat emel ini dilindungi dari Spambot. Khairul explained that proactive steps will be taken to ensure that the documentation and application approval process is simplified.

He added that for customers who wish to seek advice, they can visit the nearest Bank Muamalat branch or call the Customer Service Center at 03-2600 5500.
