KUCHING, Jan 4- A 58-year-old man died after the single-story house he lived in collapsed early this morning on Lorong 17, Jalan Stampin Baru here.

The Operations Center of the Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) in Sarawak reported that the incident occurred around 2:50 AM.

The victim, Lim Inn Tong, was successfully rescued from the rubble at 4:05 AM and was pronounced dead at the scene by the Ministry of Health's medical team.
