Its director, Mohd Misuari Abdullah, said it involves three main entry routes into the state, namely Pasir Puteh, Gua Musang, and Jeli.

When contacted by RTM, he said traffic is expected to start become congested on all routes in stages from 27 March involving neighboring states, with the peak on 28 March.

"The trend of a large number of vehicles entering the state is not a new situation; in fact, it frequently occurs every time before Aidilfitri," he said.

"In conjunction with the special Aidilfitri operation, we have started operations at bus terminals and depots today for the inspection of buses and drivers," he added.

Meanwhile, the traffic operation will commence from 24 March to 8 April, involving a total of 187 officers and enforcement personnel to ensure smooth traffic flow during the festive season, as well as to examine aspects of road traffic law compliance.
