No cabinet reshuffle despite DAP CEC leadership change

PUTRAJAYA, 17 March - There will be no cabinet reshuffle following the change in leadership in the DAP Central Executive Committee (CEC) for the 2025-2028 term.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim gave this feedback when met by the media after being asked about the possibility of changes in the cabinet lineup following the latest developments within the government component party.

"That was a DAP reshuffle, it already happened yesterday," Anwar s aid.

Meanwhile, he congratulated the new leadership line-up of the DAP CEC for the 2025-2028 term announced yesterday.

Seremban Member of Parliament and Transport Minister, Anthony Loke, retained his position as Secretary-General for the 2025-2028 term, marking his second term in that role.

Meanwhile, Digital Minister, Gobind Singh Deo, was elected as the new National Chairman of DAP, replacing Lim Guan Eng.

Housing and Local Government Minister Nga Kor Ming was elected as the deputy chairman while Kulai MP and Deputy Communications Minister Teo Nie Ching was chosen as a vice-chairman.
