ALOR SETAR, January 21 - Two men were discovered deceased in a fire that occurred at a permanent residence in Tongkang Yard.

The Assistant Director of the Fire and Rescue Operations Division of the Kedah Fire and Rescue Department, Senior Fire Officer I Azhar Mohamad, reported that they received a notification about the incident at 6:51 AM this morning.

The fire involved a permanent house, and firefighting efforts were initiated. The flames were contained by 7:11 AM, and it was confirmed that there were two suspected victims.

The victims were aged 64 and 19 years old. As of 9:50 AM, firefighting operations were still in progress, with additional efforts underway to determine the status of another victim.
