PUTRAJAYA, Jan 6- The Ministry of Transport (MOT) will establish a special task force to comprehensively address heavy vehicle safety issues.

Its minister, Anthony Loke said the special task force would be chaired by the MOT secretary-general (sec-gen) Datuk Jana Santhiran Muniayan.

The team will involve various stakeholders to formulate effective strategies for the safety of all road users.

" I would like emphasize that it is no longer to study and see what can be implemented but to start the implementation of what can be done.

"What policies can be discussed and rolled out immediately," He said this at the Transport Ministry 2025 New Year Mandate Address in Putrajaya.
