KUALA LUMPUR, 21 November– Maybank has hosted the second IIF-Maybank Sustainable Finance Forum, aimed at advancing sustainable finance and supporting the transition to a low-carbon economy through sustainable financing initiatives.

The forum highlighted the collaboration between the International Institute of Finance (IIF) and Maybank, focusing on business decarbonisation and strengthening sustainable transition plans.

In a statement, the financial institution said the forum attracted over 300 participants from the financial industry, fostering discussions and exchange of ideas to promote responsible financial practices.

Key topics addressed during the forum included net-zero pathways, sustainable investments, and the role of artificial intelligence in sustainability.

Interactive workshops were also held to explore natural capital, biodiversity, and climate adaptation infrastructure.

This marks the second partnership between the banking institution and the IIF, building on the success of their inaugural event in 2023.
