SHAH ALAM, 16 March - No country can achieve progress and stability if there are constant clashes between races and religions. This was emphasized by Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
In this regard, harmony and participation from all levels of society are necessary to support and lift the nation and the country.
"This is the approach to elevate the dignity of the nation, strengthen governance and democratic institutions in our country. To succeed, we need the support and participation of all races, all the people of this country," he said in his speech at the 18th DAP National Congress, here, today.
Meanwhile, the MADANI government's policy continues to firmly adhere to the principle of not marginalizing any group.
Anwar explained this is translated through various planned initiatives that benefit all levels of society, including minority groups.
"However, one consistent principle is that our policies must be thorough or consistent; the MADANI government must represent the aspirations and the driving force of the struggles of all Malaysians," he added.
"There is no intention to exclude any group; instead, steps are being taken to ensure efforts to elevate their dignity, through their own efforts, their own sacrifices, and their contributions," he said.
Anwar also dismissed claims by some parties who pushed the narrative that the government supposedly only defends one particular group.
