KUALA LUMPUR, February 26– A committee will be formed to review proposals, including allocation matters raised by the opposition.

Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof stated that the committee’s establishment is essential for resolving the issue in a more consensual and comprehensive manner.

“This government needs to work with consensus, and that is what we aim to achieve. However, there is no need to bring this to the media. If anyone wants to discuss it, we will do so,” he said.

He also emphasized the need to refine all proposals. “Although Syed Saddiq has put forward many proposals and wants to represent the opposition, he is only representing himself, as the opposition already has an official leader. We need to consider the bigger picture, and if there’s anything to discuss, we will do so,” he added.

Fadillah further noted that, to date, no meetings have been held between him and the opposition leader.

He made these comments after chairing the Special Committee Meeting to Address the Deterioration of National River Water Quality (JKKAS).
