MyKiosk

KANGAR, Dec 17 The Kangar Municipal Council (MPK) has provided 90 MyKiosk to small traders in an effort to transform the business landscape towards a more systematic one.

The kiosks were made possible through an allocation of RM2.1 million channeled by the Ministry of Housing and Local Government.

MPK President, Affendi Rajini Kanth, said the first phase, involving 30 units worth RM600,000, had begun operating in the Arau, Kangar and Padang Besar parliamentary constituencies.

"Meanwhile, for the second phase, 30 units have been installed and MPK was currently in the process of interviewing traders and the type of business to be pursued," he told reporters here.

"The third phase is expected to be fully completed by 31 December and is expected to be operational by February 2025," he added.

The kiosks are in line with efforts to improve the level of cleanliness and standards of food preparation and service by traders, in addition to charging a rental rate of RM300 per month.

Among the key locations for the kiosks are at the Taman Sena Indah Business Square and the site near the Kangar Old Market.
