Courier company sent a food-laden container to help the flood-affected in Kedah

A delivery company from Penang sent a container full of basic necessities through the Flood Disaster Relief Mission

ALOR SETAR, Dec 17- Residents affected by the floods in Kedah continue to be helped by various parties including private companies and the youth.

A delivery company from Penang sent a container full of basic necessities through the Flood Disaster Relief Mission.

PEN Express Worldwide (M) Sdn Bhd Operations Manager Muhamad Khuhazry Khuzaimi said in a statement that, in addition to corporate social responsibility (CSR), the mission also responded to the Prime Minister's call for private companies to mobilise funds and machinery to help affected residents.

"Hopefully, this aid will provide some relief to flood victims in need.

"This mission is living proof that the unity of Malaysians can help to overcome any challenges and, as a private company we are responding to the call of the Prime Minister and the government to mobilise funds and company machinery for the benefit of all Malaysians, particularly the residents in Kedah," he said.

Aids comprising basic necessities such as rice, sardines, bread, sugar are sent to Kuala Nerang, Pokok Sena, Anak Bukit and Gunung Keriang.

The mission also gained the cooperation of the Proton Persona Owners Club and Santai Anak Utara Club as well as local food entrepreneurs.
