KUALA LUMPUR, 10 Dec- A total of 500 fishing families in the Muar area received food basket donations from the Sultan Ibrahim Johor Foundation (YSIJ).

According to a post on Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar's Facebook, the donation was presented by YSIJ Chief Executive Officer Mohd Anizam Jamian to Chairman of the Muar Fishermen's Association Mohd Norhakim Simon, yesterday.

Mohd Norhakim appreciates the concern of Yayasan Sultan Ibrahim Johor by extending help to the fishing community in the Muar area.

"Hopefully, this aid will indirectly lighten the burden of fellow fishermen, especially those whose income is affected by the northeast monsoon", he said.
