KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 6- The following is a roundup of the flood situation in seven states as of 10.00 am this morning.
In Kelantan, one temporary relief centre (PPS) was opened in Jeli last night, while the situation in Tumpat and Pasir Mas remained unchanged.
Meanwhile Terengganu showed a downward trend as of 10.00 am today.
The situation Kedah, Johor, Perak, Melaka and Pahang remained unchanged.
The number of evacuees in Kelantan's Tumpat and Pasir Mas districts was unchanged as 23,366 people remained at 49 PPS.
According to the State Disaster Management Secretariat, Tumpat recorded 13,879 evacuees at 31 PPS, followed by Pasir Mas with 9,468 people in 17 PPS.
In Jeli, 19 people from 4 families are being accommodated at one PPS.
In Johor, the number of evacuees fell to 938 people at 22 PPS compared to 975 people at 8 pm last night.
In Melaka, the number of people affected decreased to 140 compared to 148 people last night.
All evacuees, comprising 36 families, are being sheltered at two PPS in Jasin.
In Kedah, the number of evacuees rose to 5,285 people compared to 4,141 people at 8 pm last night.
All evacuees are being accommodated at 22 PPS in three districts.
4,588 people are being sheltered at 16 PPS in Kota Setar; Kubang Pasu (580 people, 5 PPS), and, Pokok Sena (117 people, one PPS).
Over in Terengganu, the situation was improving as evacuees from two flood affected districts fell to 476 people compared to 1,692 people last night.
The State Disaster Management Committee Secretariat said Kuala Nerus recorded 400 evacuees comprising 81 families at two PPS.
Meanwhile Setiu recorded 76 evacuees from 13 families at two PPS.
In Melaka, 148 people from 37 families are being sheltered at two PPS in Jasin.
In Perak, the State Disaster Management Committee Secretariat in a statement said the situation remained unchanged, with 149 people comprising 51 families being accommodated at 4 PPS in Kinta and Perak Tengah.
In Pahang, the number of evacuees remained unchanged with 15 people from five families in Maran.
