Melaka Innovation Day receives enthusiastic response, plans for bigger scale next year

AYER KEROH, Dec 6- The Melaka Innovation Day will be held on a larger scale next year.

State Exco of Science, Technology, Innovation and Digital Communications, Datuk Fairul Nizam Roslan said they are targeting approximately 500 new innovation ideas to be contested.

This is after seeing the success of this year's event which received an encouraging response, with the participation of more than 120 innovative products and ideas.

"This is one of our initial steps to further improve the organization of the Melaka Innovation Day which we hold every year in collaboration with RICE Melaka@UTeM," he said.

He added that innovative products and designs with potential will be highlighted and commercialized in the market.

Meanwhile, various products and designs are featured in the Melaka Innovation Day 2024.

It also provides exposure to basic training in skills and creative ideas that students can produce.

At the program, a soap for eczema patients produced by a student from Sekolah Kebangsaan Merlimau 2, Fatin Nur Irdina Maisarah Raman, won the best presenter category.
