KANGAR, February 5– The Perlis State Youth Council (MBNPs) has introduced seven key initiatives as part of its Vision 2025-2030, aimed at enhancing the competitiveness of youth in the state. This initiative seeks to foster balanced progress among the youth in areas such as the economy, social well-being, mental and moral development, education, and leadership for future generations.
According to Mohd Jeffry Hassan, President of the Perlis State Youth Council, the main focuses of the MBNPs are Education and Skills, Health and Well-being, Nationhood and National Unity, Economic Development, Entrepreneurship and Digitalization, Leadership and Volunteering, Holistic Structuring of Youth Organizations, and Empowerment of Youth Organizations' Dataraya.
Each of these thrusts is designed to uplift and empower youth organizations, enabling them to play a more active and impactful role within both the local community and the nation.
“Youths must embody a sense of responsibility, strong identity, high patriotism, and values of volunteerism to help build a well-rounded youth community across various sectors,” said Jeffry Hassan.
He made this announcement at a Special Session with the Perlis State Youth and Sports Department, held at the State Youth and Sports Complex.
Throughout 2025, the Perlis State Youth Council, in collaboration with the State Youth and Sports Department, plans to roll out a series of youth development programs at the grassroots level. These initiatives will also focus on identifying available funds and grants from the government, particularly through the Ministry of Youth and Sports, to support youth development in Perlis.
The proactive efforts of the Perlis State Youth and Sports Council have been key in driving various programs throughout 2024. These include donations of sports equipment to the Kuala Perlis DUN football team, contributions for Chinese New Year, the Santai Ceria Sekampung Program, and Round Table Discussions with the youth wing leadership of political parties in Perlis.
