PUTRAJAYA, 28 December - The eighth edition of the Light and Motion Putrajaya Festival (LAMPU2024) is a premier iconic event celebrating Malaysia's Asean Chairmanship next year.

Putrajaya Corporation (PPj) president, Datuk Fadlun Mak Ujud said the festival has the potential to promote Putrajaya as an international tourist destination through the organisation of a unique light and technology art festival.

"We're employing cutting-edge technology for building projections, and I invite everyone to join us. There are many exciting segments, including the main event on 31 December for the countdown to 2025, the year Malaysia assumes the Asean chairmanship. This marks the beginning of our journey together through LAMPU 2024," he said.

He said this to reporters after the opening ceremony here, yesterday.

Fadlun added the involvement of international designers in the festival demonstrates Malaysia's growing recognition on the world stage, particularly through the staging of iconic events such as LAMPU.
