MELAKA, March 6- The Melaka State Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN) inspected 399 premises over a four-day period starting last Sunday until yesterday through the implementation of Ops Pantau 2025.

Its Chief Enforcement Officer, Rohaimi Mohamed Zawawi said the inspections involved supermarkets, grocery stores, Ramadan bazaars and other premises to ensure compliance with the regulations set.

He explained that the inspections focused on weighing and measuring instruments, counterfeit goods, essential goods, supplies, prices, cheap sales and compliance with halal labelling to ensure that consumer's rights continue to be protected.

"In today's inspection (yesterday), all price tags were displayed clearly and appeared good. Enforcement officers will continue to conduct inspections every day at all Ramadan and Aidilfitri bazaars in Melaka, including at the Alor Gajah and Jasin branches.

"A total of about 90 enforcement officers and price monitoring officers have been assigned to go to the field to ensure traders comply with the regulations set," he said.

He was met by RTM after inspecting the Taman Cempaka Ramadan Bazaar, Peringgit here on Wednesday.

KPDN implemented Ops Pantau 2025 starting from March 2 until Hari Raya Aidilfitri nationwide to ensure traders' compliance based on the laws enforced.
