KUALA LUMPUR, July 30 - The Ministry of Health (MOH) will strive to match medical specialists with infrastructure development based on local needs.

Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad said that the implementation was discussed through the MOH Development Action Meeting chaired by him yesterday.

“There are colleagues who have advised that the trained medical specialists later can be matched in line with the infrastructure development.

“Insya-Allah, I will ensure two things. Firstly, the infrastructure development aligns with local needs.

“I admit, there are many places that experienced congestion, poor facilities or both, but this is being addressed. Not only in Sabah and Sarawak, but also in Johor and Kelantan,” he said in a statement via Facebook today.

He said the second matter was to address the uneven distribution of human resources by ensuring the planning and distribution of sources are in line with the infrastructure development and grass root needs.

“It is not a matter that can be done in one or two days, but with prayers and support from everyone, we will implement it,” he said.
