KOTA BHARU, August 29 - The Public Service Department (JPA) continues to strengthen public service reform as an effort to realize the Malaysia MADANI agenda.

Director General of Public Services (KPPA), Datuk Seri Wan Ahmad Dahlan Abdul Aziz said the move was taken to increase the productivity and efficiency of the public service as well as the willingness to make changes in the delivery of HEMAT's aspirations.

"The call to improve the quality of public service delivery is not new. It is also the main mechanism in improving organizational governance at all levels through important values that must be held," he said.

He said this during his speech at the INTAN Bitara Program Talk about H.E.M.A.T Aspirations: Upholding Aspirations, Driving Performance, here.

Wan Ahmad Dahlan also welcomed the Prime Minister's call, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim to immediately reform the public service to improve competence in various aspects.

This includes refining and empowering outdated policies and circulars to align with HEMAT's aspirations.

H.E.M.A.T is a new public service aspiration introduced by KPPA, last February referring to public officers' vigilance in actions as well as thoroughness in carrying out their entrusted duties.
