KOTA BAHRU, Dec 31- The flood situation in this state is almost recovered as only three Temporary Relief Centres (PPS) are still operating in Tanah Merah and Pasir Mas, involving 141 flood affected residents from 45 families.

A survey in Tanah Merah found that on average, affected residents said the situation was improving due to the good weather since yesterday.

"The second wave of floods entered through the kitchen causing a lot of damage, now we are busy cleaning the house," said Zalilah Seman, one of the affected residents.

Supadilati Mat Nor meanwhile said this flood happened so quickly that they did not have time to prepare for the rising waters.

"The water rose quickly, it all happened suddenly," she said.

Also sharing her experience was Ku Rozilawati Ku Ali, who said they are now returning home after the PPS was closed to clean their affected homes.

"This second wave was very fast, a lot of cleanup work from the previous wave was not yet completed," she said.

Meanwhile, according to the PublicInfoBanjir website of the Irrigation and Drainage Department, the water level of Sungai Golok in Rantau Panjang is still above the danger level.

Three other rivers, Sungai Golok in Kampung Jenob, Sungai Kelantan in Kusial, and Sungai Kelantan in Kuala Krai, have exceeded the alert level.
