DUBAI, 17 November- The expertise of Space42, a leader in space technology innovation based in Abu Dhabi, has great potential to increase Malaysia's capabilities.

Deputy Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said, this is particularly in monitoring, responding and reducing the impact of natural disasters.

He explained that technology driven through artificial intelligence (AI), satellite communication and geospatial analytics, will also strengthen the country's communication infrastructure.

This is to ensure that Malaysians continue to enjoy more widespread and secure digital access.

Ahmad Zahid and his delegation also had the opportunity to visit the Space42 headquarters in conjunction with a seven-day official visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

It marks an important step towards closer cooperation between Kuala Lumpur and Abu Dhabi, leveraging advanced technology to drive sustainable growth, increase resilience and strengthen regional cooperation.
